More than 70% of workplace injuries involved the joints, large muscles, ligaments, spinal discs and the nerves of the spine and extremities.
Most often these injuries are misdiagnosed at the emergency room or at the local occupational health department as simple soft tissue injuries or sprains. The proper diagnosis and early treatment of workplace injuries is critical in achieving full return to function and a complete recovery with return to duty.
Industrial Medicine/Occupational Medicine is a very demanding subspecialty and requires accurate early diagnosis with an aggressive treatment plan to return the injured worker to full function. Dr. Wyrwas has extensive postgraduate training in Physical Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, and Strength/Conditioning; and this training allows for the prescription of highly effective rehabilitation programs.
The Injury Center and Dr. Wyrwas are certified through the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of work related injuries. Additionally, The Injury Center will complete all necessary paperwork and documentation/correspondences related to your work injury and will communicate regularly with your employer and/or legal professional.
If you are suffering from a work related injury, we encourage you to contact Dr. Wyrwas at The Injury Center to schedule an evaluation.
